Written Requirements

What are the 3 different types of posting formats?

Summarize and Comment.

Summarize: WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, AND WHY. QUOTE AT LEAST ONCE. You MUST INCLUDE ARTICLE NAME AND AUTHOR . ( This article “School Rocks” by Ryston Buchanan, is….) Research the author and make sure he is credible.

Comment: Agree or Disagree. Explain WHY. Do you agree with the approach this article has taken? Was there a better way to write it? OR Counter the argument with other research. OR Add something to the article. What was the article missing that you would like to know about? What does the article make you question? Use your critical thinking skills. What’s the bias in this article (bias= does the person have anything at stake in the issue or perhaps a personal agenda and if so, does this affect how they view it?) CONNECT IT BACK TO YOUR BLOG TOPIC.

My opinion
Give your opinion on what you have learned. At least three paragraphs. Include your opinion and make sure it is supported by at least one source. The “my opinion” posts are meant to let you express your thoughts on the issue as you learn more. It is okay to use the word “I” but make sure you explain yourself. Good topic sentences and commentary will make you sound more reliable. ( DO NOT ABBREVIATE)
